Increasing Need of English

In the age of Globalization and Information Technology English has become the most important language of communication and has been widely accepted all over the world. The ability to communicate in English is the basic criteria for getting jobs in multinational companies. Most of the latest information is available only in English. You need to be a good user of English in the globalized context if you wish to work in private organizations, particularly in the corporate world. In short, English is required in all walks of life.

Desire and Reality about English

Everybody has a desire to be a good speaker of English, and wants to impress others by their fluency in English. However this dream is hardly fulfilled. Many of us can't open a conversation or get into it, doesn't understand what we read or hear, can't write a paragraph in acceptable English, fails to argue with or to convince someone or to express our likes and dislikes or to agree or disagree or to express our opinion.

Expressing through English has always been a frustrating experience for many of us. We lose our confidence when we make an attempt to use English. The fear of making mistakes always looms on us. This leads to a phobia about English and gives rise to an inferiority complex.

In fact English is taught in every school and college across the country. It's a compulsory subject right from the 1st standard up to the graduation and even post graduation level.

There are many English speaking classes available in the country. Almost all the bookshops are full of hundreds and thousands of books and CDs, etc. about teaching English. In spite of all this help available why do we fail to get English?
